School board OKs detentions for 1st graders
Clinton -Clinton Elementary School students in grades 1 to 4 with more than three green slips will receive detentions beginning next school year. "Some of these kids now have six, seven, eight, nine green slips,” said Clinton Elementary School Principal Geraldine Sargent to School Committee members Tuesday evening.

Town sentiment seems to have backed away from last month’s charge by selectmen to clarify water rights, zoning restrictions and a potential sale of the land.

Hunting, motors won’t be allowed at Rauscher
Clinton -Rifles are banned from Rauscher Farm, the 62-acre property town voters agreed to purchase last September. So are snowmobiles and motorbikes. The guidelines in a nutshell, according to Conservation Commission Chairman John Woodsmall: “If it’s passive, you can do it. If it’s not passive, you can’t do it.”

WHEAT’s new chief is no stranger to aid agency
Clinton -Mary Olsson currently volunteers at the Wachusett Health Education Action Team once a week to make people happy. Soon she can assist them every day of the week as executive director. Olsson will begin her tenure next week, replacing Jodi Breidel, who has run the organization since 2002.
