Sand sculptors compete at Singing Beach

When Mayor Carolyn Kirk was running for election against Jim Destino, Jamie O’Hara had her support. He made phone calls to registered voters on her behalf, and stood by her side at events, handing out her campaign materials.

Superintendent Christopher Farmer made the following announcement today:

My name is Sally! I am 5 months old and I think I am part retriever or shepherd mix. I weight about 45 pounds, so I am going to be large when I am all grown up. I have a sweet personality and I get along well with people — are you one of those?

A retrospective exhibit of the late artist Ara Danikian is on view during the months of August and September with the only remaining paintings by him of different scenes in Manchester.
