Needham -The Newman School is aiming to reopen its Media Center when kids return from summer vacation in September, after Town Meeting approved $300,000 for a temporary solution to the heating and ventilation problems in the East Wing of the building, which has caused health issues among staff and at least one student.

Needham -Fourth-grade John Benner originally learned how to fold origami from instructional books. He generally folds animals and gets inspiration from books, magazines and animals he sees in Needham. He folds every day, spending anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours on a piece.

Needham -Rain or shine or even snow, mail carriers deliver the mail. And this year, on the day before Mother’s Day, they weathered the weather to collect food for the Community Council’s Food Pantry.
